Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event isn't the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has experienced equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to return to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
