Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday evening. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his team members.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”

This update on his health comes as the boxing community offered its support for the fighter in the wake of the heartbreaking incident.
