Homages Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order issued a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" associated with the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a public database citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the killings, public figures expressed varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering controversial statements that were widely condemned by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan characterized the comments as "shocking" and implied they revealed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an aide ought to have acted when the decision to comment on the passing was made.
